About 2 pm today I say a B-17 landing at the ft.wayne airport.  I was driving on I 469.  It was from a distance..but anybody from that area hear about or see it? Air show?

A flying B-17 50 miles from my house!!! Why did I not know about this!!!  :furious  :furious  :furious

I noticed you posted about the angola air show...Are they related....?
At the time, weather was starting to come in..maybe buddy was getting her down before T'storms came in...

I was a good 5 miles out when I noticed her, and driving a big rig...but it was a flying fort.

No they're not related (to my knowledge) The Balloons Aloft festival was a while back.

I think we got 4 droplets on the windshield driving through Fremont today, so we must have dodged a bullet if there was a T-storm  :headscratch:

The B-25 "Yankee Warrior" and the B-17 "Yankee Lady" Belong to the same museum up at Willow Run in Ypsilanti if I'm correct, so I imagine the 17 and 25 see the Tri-state Ohio/Indy/Michigan Area often.

And yes, The B-17 is a true beauty. I think this is the one you saw.  :aok
