Can we all agree this is a cob or..slider, .roll....er.. whats this to you?

Break them up = boring old rolls
My way = artery hardening goodness (recipe below)
slice almost all the way through leaving a small amount attached.... fold back top, lather with butter and fill with a kilo of bacon... share if you must (serving suggestion only)
PS Jimmy ...... you're in NZ now...it is a roll.....Doesn't matter what it is elsewhere...if you walk into the bakery and ask for anything else you will be looked at funnier than you are now :D
Mind you...you don't want to get it confused with a long roll

I do a lot of baking. The shape is common to buns and rolls. In general, the amount of fat and sweeteners is what separates a roll from a bun. The exceptions are very sweet breads like Portuguese, and Hawaiian sweet rolls.
