step away from the phone, :noid, step away, from the phone. :bolt:
-
On some air bases the Air Force is on one side of the field and civilian aircraft use the other side of the field, with the control tower in the middle. One day the tower received a call from an aircraft asking, "What time is it?"
The tower responded, "Who is calling?"
The aircraft replied, "What difference does it make?"
The tower replied "It makes a lot of difference. If it is an American Airlines Flight, it is 3 o'clock. If it is an Air Force, it is 1500 hours. If it is a Navy aircraft, it is 6 bells. If it is an Army aircraft, the big hand is on the 12 and the little hand is on the 3. If it is a Marine Corps aircraft, it's Thursday afternoon."
-
:rofl Roc, if I was calling they would answer, "Didn't you just call 1 minute ago?"
Nice! I see what you fellas are talking about.... missed it at first. The "alert" lights are able to display the field and country status, that is usually seen on the clipboard.... without exact percentages for factories.
Sorry HiTech, I threw a dart at the clock, now it doesn't work anymore....
......and no, Rosie's hairdryer is blue and gold (don't ask how I know) :bolt:
-
Is the red phone for calling Skuzzy?

Zulu Time (Z) = Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and is constant, currently 1 hour behind British Summer Time (BST). Unfortunately over here times for events will often be given as GMT when they really mean BST as many people don't understand the difference, so using Zulu instead should remove any doubt - or at least make people ask "What time's that then?" :D
In Elite: Dangerous they are using GMT but calling it Galactic Mean Time. :lol
I am used to using GMT/Z being a Radio Amateur as we are required to log contacts using it. As I am typing this the time is 10:04 BST or 9:04 GMT. :)

Indeed, I misunderstood.

That picture shows a single light for ammo, troops and radar but four for fuel. Are we getting fuel restrictions?
Multiple lights for HQ as well. Something different than the current "HQ down = radar down", I hope.
Is your AA is off because those jagged lines everywhere don't look very good?
-

So far that's not different as it's now. If you look at our current clipboard, ammo, dar troops are either on and off. Fuel īs being destroyed incementally.

Already on our clipbard that way as well.

New look is fantastic! :old: :aok

European Air War was a blast!!! Nice to see a fellow EAW vet still around. Lot has changed yes... and the tower looks very very nice (getting shot down just became more enjoyable). I too am interested if the objects are indeed buttons, operated by mouse....

In Elite: Dangerous they are using GMT but calling it Galactic Mean Time. Hehe!

Dang, Flossy! I did not know you were an Amateur! 73's! Although I never obtained a license, I did work extensively with Amateurs when I was in service and worked within the US Army MARS system running phone patches back in '69-'70. I salute you and all other Amateurs who made those phone patches possible!
I was NCOIC of two stations during that time frame:
AB9AB in Sattahip, Thailand
AB8AAT in Da Nang, Viet Nam
We ran Collins SSB transceivers and 30L1 linear amplifiers in Thailand, and 30S1 linear amplifiers in Viet Nam...pretty archaic by internet standards today but pretty good for the time!
Some of my best memories are of being able to connect GI's to their families and on a very good 12 hour shift to be able to run with an Amateur and log 30 patches or more whilst in a net. Some Veterans remember the horror of war by the friends they lost; I remember it by the number of patches I helped make possible with the help of folks like you.

looks awesome! Can't wait for update :rock

In 2 weeks. :D

In the tower it shows HQ enemy and friendly. We only see the opposite two countries as enemy? Or is the game going to just two countries? :)

In 2 weeks. :D

You go ahead and ask 'em, but I don't think either has a watch....

The colors of the clock and phone are a little too saturated don't you think?
I think the phone would be impossible to be quite that close to vermillion, too. Probably every phone in use then was some form of the column phone. Bakelite material. . .

"Ammunition" has a typo in the button box. Me likes. :salute
