First, Hello! Long time no see, right?
So my old X-52 can't hold a steady heading and the extended warranty ran out about, oh, 6 years ago :)
I'd like to get back into the game and wondering what you guys think of the X52 Pro ....or other flight controllers you like
I figured before I went reading reviews online, I'd ask my fellow players

I love mine....
Don't think I could ever fly again without the separate throttle...

My X52 is starting to show its age. Ive been looking at the x55 Rhino and i really like what ive been seeing! :aok

Ch Products. Can't beat them for reliability and longevity.
My combat stick 568 USB is the newest of my three at 6 years of age. No kidding.
My throttle and pedals are 8 and 11 years old respectively. All USB and connected to a powered USB hub.

My X52 Pro is flawless after 4 years of use. I like it a lot more than my old X52 non-pro.

i love and use the x-52--i have to replace mine about once every 1-1/2 to 2 years...but i get rebuilt ones from amazon.com because i'm rough on mine-except for the throttle never fails.lol i had or have 2 or 3 x-52 throttles laying around..i would get a refurbished one first-just to try it. if you don't like it -you can use it untill you can afford something else.the saitek ST-290 is a good 1st stick too.

I dont think they make the ch sticks the same as before. I basically gave mine away as it was crap. 3rd ch fighterstick I owned.
I have an x-55 rhino right now. 200 bucks. just a bit more than the x52 pro but years ahead. more reliable than the ch fighterstick.

My X52 I noticed the other night is starting to bounce around, keeps kicking me off autopilot. May have to check the dampening or recalibrate
This one is 6+ years old

try cleaning the pots, there is some spray I bought at radio shack few years ago and fixed mine at the time. IN fact the can is right here in the cabinet, electrical cleaner , lubricant My x52 was spiking and acting up bad, I had bought another used pair at the time, then someone in the forums years ago was talking about cleaning the pots, so I tried it and the stick came back to life and worked just fine..
Now both pair sit in a box, maybe the interest will come back to use them one day.

I've had both. Not a huge difference between the X-52 and X-52 Pro, imho. For the money, it's a superior stick. Are there better? Yes, but you will pay dearly to reach the next level.

My pedals just quit on me.....again. 2 to 5 years life span" which is probably why they warranty them for 2".
I bought another pair of pedals. They are only $125, the stick and throttle can be had for $119. I guess for the price they arent bad but they dont last.

I use a mouse. It's not even USB- it's a round green plug. I have never been shot down flying with my mouse.

my X 52 Pro works great I've been using it now about 7 years works still like new I would highly recommend it. it's nice to see that you're going to make a return welcome back.

I havent used an X-52 Pro in about 4 years, so I don't know if they have made any upgrades or not. The one I had was good for what I needed at the time. I used it in my dorm room in college, so it took some punishment being moved around all the time. It worked great for around 3 years, and then all the buttons on the stick from the trigger up died. I could still fly, but the only buttons I had were on the throttle. I still have the throttle as a backup, and would use it again if needed.

After owning an X55 Rhino for about 10 hours, I'm surprised and hopeful.
Which only means I haven't tried to program it yet.
