I made a mistake when I first started. I know how to change Player ID. I also seen where you lose any perks rank and squad affiliation. I assume you also lose achievements which is what bothers me the most. Is that true, Is there a way to do it without losing my past achievements the perks and stuff I can burn first but I hate losing the data for myself on total #s...Mine are terrible but if I'm gonna change it I need to do it sooner rather then later. Any help guys?

As far as I know, changing your name in any way erases everything and there's no way around it. Even changing an uppercase letter to a lowercase letter is enough to have everything deleted. I think that's kind of silly but it's how it is.
You can keep track of you stats quite easily with Spatula's stat program (PM him for the download if you want it) by loading all the tours you flew with your previous name and then adding your new name to it, but perk points and achievements as well I think are gone forever.

When I changed my Pilot ID last year, I lost perks and got a new score sheet, but my achievements remained.

Same here.

That's good to know! Thanks for posting Ratsy and Lusche
Perks and score have always been rest / start over with a gameid change

Achievements are not lost on a game ID change. Only stats and scores are lost.

Thank you guys ...see you in the MA <S>

What is the logic behind this?
I'm not saying it's a bad thing. I'm just curious about the reasoning.

I am pretty sure it is because stats and scores are reset monthly, to where the Achievements are a career/lifetime attribute ordeal...
Is how I see it anyway

Why, I think Dicedlr is a cool name.
I love playing craps so...

The logic behind what, specifically?

Why do achievements follow you when you change names, but score does not? Does it have to do with gameplay, or is it a programming issue? Or am I barking up the wrong tree entirely?

Subscribed as I too would like to know the answer if one is given...

It is one way to try and discourage players from changing game ID's. Changing game ID's makes it more difficult to build a community.

Ok, that makes sense. Thanks.

I got this response to an email from Hightech
Changing your Game ID will lose all perk points and any achievements
you may have earned. There is no way of retrieving them.
Thanks,
Carrie "Rosie" Brooks
So that kind of blows

She's wrong on the matter of achievements, unless somethign has been changed in the past few days. See Skuzzy's statement (and our own experiences mentionen above) ;)

So it's intentional, not technical... Cool... :salute

How can I change my current alias from lower case to upper case lettering?
Is this possible?

Yes, I think its in the account admin screen when you first open the game and log in. Capitalization changes won't effect perks.
-
I think it's in the O club in the game
-
It is the same place as changing your game ID is, in the O'Club, online. It will recognize you are only changing case, and you will not lose perks or scores.
-
Thank you :aok
-
since im a squad leader does that mean the squad gets disbanded if i change names :headscratch:
-
I think the squad is attached to the name, so yes if you change it you would need to rebuild the squad.
-
If you change your game ID, and not just the case, then the squad is disbanded, the perk points and scores are also lost.
