Short clip of someone flying WT in arcade mode. The escape is a pretty neat trick but the pursuing bandit might have a few choice words about WT's collision model.

But the film is not from his FE... he might pretty well have run into the bridge on his FE? You can see similar stuff on AH

At least when I played WT, collisions weren't modeled like in AH.

But his plane isn't flying in the exact same position as it shows on the film...

That might very well be the case, but that's nothing you could really tell from that film.
I also see planes passing close by me and blow up from a collision that only happened on their FE... looks very similar to the WT film. :)

I would suggest folks try flying under the bridges in AH to compare :devil

The collision at 2:45 with the Japanese skinned PBY was interesting.

Japanese skinned PBY? Last time I checked the PBY didn't have four engines. ;) It's a Kawanishi H6K "Mavis". And it looked like the impact speed was too low to seriously damage the bigger plane.

Yeah, really...

Heh yeah that was a clear collision to the bridge. The enemy was far away. You can see the impact point smoking on the bridge as registered by the server and the destroyed player just took a double lag worth of time to register his death in the filmers front end.

What amuses me is this video is titled "How to dogfight".

What doesn't amuse however is how much more advanced the graphics are.

yup it's amusing. world of tanks also has better graphics. then again you also have tanks that disappear in front of you 100 meters away in the open. and a thousand other amusing facts including the one where the map is only like 1.5k meters by 1.5 thousand meters.

Weird has never happened to me so far. The map size doesn't also matter with graphics, the client draws only visible distance and nothing beyond that.

really you played wot and you have never had a tank appear in front of you 100 meters away out in the open? imagine if ah can only draw in distances of 1.5k.

Yeah they never appear in any other way than what the game mechanics have been built for. Once you spot them, they appear. Players can use terrain, crew settings and paid perks to increase camoflage that makes detection harder.
