The power adapters look like they have faces

And it's Halloween!

That is how the taught electricians to remember which way to install them at trade school. Code says that the ground prong must be on the bottom because as it is longer than the other prongs with it on the bottom it would be the last prong out of the outlet and so maintain the ground connection past the other connections.
Another is a light switch. They are installed to flip up for on and down for off. If you install it upside down the switch says "NO" instead of "ON".

There is actually two "ground" prongs just they terminate in different places.

Homer: That baby proofing crook wanted to sell us covers for the electrical outlets. But I'll just draw bunny faces on them to scare Maggie away.
Marge: She's not afraid of bunnies.
Homer: She will be.

There is a "Hot", "Ground" and a "Neutral". If you should mix up the ground and neutral an inspector will fail your job and fine you.
There is only one ground.

Their are a lot who think the neutral ( or white shield covered wire on romex ) is the ground, but that is incorrect as Fugi posted...also some electrical devices will not work if they have the polarity reversed as well... Electrical inspector will fail an electrical inspection for this as well...

Point is ground and neutral and have the same voltage, of 0 relative to hot. Ground doesn't source/sink any current while the neutral does.
