A fellow CHawk just found out that he has stage 4 Colon Cancer. Please pray for him as he begins this battle. I've talked to him on the phone and he sound's like he's in good spirit's.

Puts all our problems in perspective doesnt it? I always try and find a few bucks for those walkathons for cancer. I lost my mom and sister to it. My prayers are included.

Doc that is not good news.  What is good, to know that there are awesome friends and family that are willing to surround your friend with comfort, encouragement, and good will.  My prayers as well as the many others on the way to continue the fight to minimize the effects of any illness on your friend.  Remember that medicine is improving all the time, and the good work in promoting awareness and helping to fund further research like Rich is doing with the walkathons is another good action that we can mobilize to action.

I live in the Richmond, Virginia area but not too far from Norfolk, Virginia.  If there are any such activities nearby, lets see how many of us AH addicts can gather to attend, in support of Doc's good friend and CHawk squadee, along with the many other good men and women.  RIP sis in-law, Lois "Lo-E Mitchell" 8/2014.

My thoughts and prayers for your comrade Doc  :pray

A gentle reminder for you gents over 50...

Consider colon screening or a colonoscopy. Early detection of colon cancer is key.

Have your PSA checked annually. I was diagnosed with Prostate cancer 4 years ago. Subsequent Da Vince surgery followed by beam radiation has me in remission.

Colon and Prostate cancer are common with older men. Staying proactive is vital to your health.

****UPDATE****

I wanted to make sure it was ok with him first before I mentioned his name. It's DevilCh. I just got off the phone with him and he sound's pretty good. They found the cancer while doing surgery on him last Thursday. He's waiting for the results of the test's to come back so the doctors can decide which treatment to start. Devil said thank you very much for the payers and support. He also wanted to give you all a big <<S>>

Thank you for all the prayers and kind words. I will keep giving updates when I get them.
