I was flying Lancs at 23k the other night, I always check for incoming cons constantly scanning the skies. When out of the blue I see a co alt F6 4k out just appear, once he gets into 1k range I get ping after ping on him, he makes no maneuver's to avoid this(only 303s mind you) The whole thing seemed weird so I logged out to watch the film. My film caught him 17k away and below me so I clicked on his plane, complete vertical @ 455mph for 15k...VERTICAL! Just a film glitch maybe? so who can I send this film to for verification? :noid

I tried sending it but got a demon failure notice, I think the file is to big(24mb) How can I crop the file to the Important parts?

Did you try to zip the original? They do compress well.

As players get closer to you the accuracy of their position increases so you may see dots jump before they get in icon range.

The film shows you his plane but it uses the information that is available to you. That is why you don't see his speed and stuff when you jump to his plane. I also think that with the plane being far away the data you get is even less as it really doesn't relate to you until he gets closer. I know I've jumped into other planes and they seem almost to be flying sidewards. Play the film again but after you jump inchange the views with the keyboard. That usually clears it up for me.

Yes you are correct, once he gets into view if I click on him then rewind I can stay with him until the actual start of the film. weird glitch I suppose. Thanks for the input and lesson, will submit anyway for Hitechs review.

If you see a con far below, but then he goes out of contact then the film viewer appears to retain that information (his altitude and other data). When you run into him again the film viewer then updates the position detail and the aircraft may appear to climb at a ridiculous rate. That's from experience in making many, many films, rather than any real facts about how the program works.
