If this was about saying thanks you would have left that out.

Starting another useless flame thread gg.

No.  Making a point.  Kruel is soliciting duels with no axe to grind.   As opposed to others.

I think Kruel is on the right track and folks should take him up on his offer to 1v1.  Some may be hesitant to do it based on the actions of others.  I say go for it.

I thought I was a good wingman till people started getting way to serious in the game, then it's "hey go f urself pal"  I'm not the best pilot i'll admit that, but idk i think i can still bring something good to the game i hope.. as a wingman or whatever, seems like there is more and more negativity in the arena day to day.. might be time to give up on the game at this crossroads man..

What do you think about this Krupnski? Don't worry bro I'll throw down the challenge

7 Rounds First round TA152s? Doras? LA7s? (Can't speak for Krup, but a 2v2 in 152s would be a sick fight)
Loser picks next ride/ merge alt
Gun package mutually agreed upon prior to round
Fuel load out mutually agreed upon prior to round
First Pass Cold, after that Fight Club rules.....there are none.
No Maneuver until Icon Range.

If they don't take it, we will be glad to fight Ratio/ Anarchy next....same rules.

Don't hate I am who I am...  :noid

I'm gonna put myself on the spot here... No offense to Skyyr for he does what he does well, and I respect that, but simply put I don't 'enjoy' fighting him... I enjoy the fights that end up on the deck, full flaps, stall buffer blaring... leaving you wondering hours later what you could have... SHOULD have done differently. Imagine you're fighting Skyyr now, everything slows down by 50%.. You're basically watching and waiting for your opponent to do the inevitable immelman, spiral climb, etc. If you can't get above him by the second merge, which you won't, you better be damn good at dodging high deflection shots, or you're toast.. and if you manage to dodge, you're still toast because you won't have the E to follow him back up. Maybe it's just the slow drawn out repetitiveness of E fighting, whatever it is I don't have the patience for it... never have.

Now, with all that said.. Junky and I are gonna pwn you 2v2!  :neener:

I don't enjoy fighting him either.  I doubt most people enjoy dying over and over again...(for you less so, for you are far more skilled than me to be sure).

I enjoy the types of fights you mention a great deal, but at the end of the day that type of stall fighting requires your opponent to agree to fight to the same terms.  As you say, if he refuses to turn after the second merge, runs the stall fighter out of E and options, the fight is effectively over unless the stall fighter gets REALLY lucky and/or the E fighter makes a mistake.   And yes, it is very boring and repetitive....but you can't dispute it's effective.  It's also more closely reflects the historical truth of air combat of the period.

FYI - I don't hate who you are.  My post was gentle ribbing, sir...nothing more.  :salute

Somewhere between the deck, the flaps, and the stall buffer, there was probably a turn (or fifteen of them) that shouldn't have been made.  :D j/k

We readily accept 2v2 challenges. See here:

http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,365599.0.html

Only difference I see is that we set the merge alt consistent across all fights (e.g. 5k, 7k, etc.). If you're interested, let's set something up.

Sounds fun, we have others that have expressed interest but we haven't been able to coordinate, PMs to some have been sent though:

Joachim and Nath/DrBone
Glzz and Raynos
Flench(what's your in game name?) and ?
Junky and Krup

I will make a more active effort to catch you guys in game.

Don't know what's so special about this, others do it all the time. Not sure which one of us you hate on which day, we need a schedule or something.

I just haven't felt like playing in the MA much, and now that we found a suitable training arena (you are going to regret showing it to me Krup! :) )

I am going to try to record the fights and post them if they are fun/interesting.

Hehe, nice pic

Same old school yard mentality you always favour, Fulcrum, please don't try and lump me in with your way of thinking. It's silly. All my friends can fight their own battles.

I just wanted to fight either of them and see what all the fuss was about. I've made a point of duelling as many people in this game as possible. Due to that I have quite a vast mental picture of the abilities of the community in general. I saw these two new guys who wanted to make a name for themselves and I wanted to add them to my mental map of who can fight and who is just mouth. Skyyr even came to the DA when I found a fight with someone else and watched covertly in god mode to see what he was missing out on. But he refused to answer to any communication, just sat in the tower of the base I was upping from.
I was disappointed that neither of them had the courage to test themselves when a real challenge arose. That weakness of character was compounded by the previous forum bragging about winning fights. The stupidest part is, even if you have a big mouth, if you go to the DA and test yourself you will still earn respect for that. But having a big mouth and being scared to back it up, that's real weakness.
Of late I have heard reports, not just in this thread, that Kruel may actually be worth fighting. And here so, we find ourselves in this thread, where my question 'are you ready to fight now' seems to be pertinent to this moment.

I completely agree with this sentiment.  I think you will find any of us will do so.  I'm not entirely sure, however, that the inverse is always the case based on recent experience.

Redbull was very motivated to learn and get better, Kruel is also the same way. How is that comparison anyway too far or disrespectful to either pilot. They fight different fights but to say they are similar in that they want to learn isn't wrong and shouldn't be frowned upon...helps build the community up.

Nothing DramaBoy. I'm asking if it's ok with him and Kruel...alt really doesn't matter to me but I know some would rather it be higher for more realistic altitudes which is fine.

Stop looking so hard at everyones comments, it's got to be stressful.

Kruel was easily one of the top 5 pilots skill-wise during his time in FA. Heck, he outflew Bruv with his (then) 40-some odd Aces and then let him go to continue on to 50. Kruel's the single reason that Bruv even reached 50 Aces. If you think he's good now, he'll still be 20x better once he's at full capacity. And it's not a matter of learning, it's simply adjusting tactics to this game.

I don't frequent the MA much, but I have never understood why anyone would be afraid or hesitant about entering into a 1 vs 1 with anybody. It's just a game! I haven't been in the DA in a very long time, but even when I lost a duel, which was most of the time, it was still fun.

:lol  To me it did look like you were questioning 5K rather than suggesting. My bad!

I wasn't attacking you...I asked what concerns you had with 5K.  I honestly do like to get everyone's perspectives on these things.  Some duelists seem to have a concern with anything above deck merge.  I was curious if you were one and your opinions....

Calm down, dude...I don't bite all the time!  :lol

Kruel's a good stick and a fun guy to fly with.  Very motivated to learn, compete and excel.  And I for one did understand where you were coming from on this one....I do not see it as disrespectful in any way.

Now if only Kruel would get out of the girly man LA and fly the 110 he'd be perfect!   :aok

Ah I thought you were comparing their skill. Was completely my miscomprehension.

This is Aces High, no disrespect meant to be tossed at all. Although you have adjusted quickly to the game and have adapted as fast as you have doesn't mean he will or ever will. I am not saying he won't because he has learned a lot since the first time I dueled him back when he first started. Even then, he could tell you, I was trying to recruit him because of the potential I saw in him.

But there is a wicked learning plateau in this game, although there is always something to learn sometimes it could take awhile to get that knowledge perfected or even near decency. I've been flying forever and I still suck at everything except trash talking, hell I even suck at that. I really fly the game to get a laugh out of people on 200 and country chat. Probably wouldn't fly if 200 channel didn't exist.
