Title: Making videos
Post by: jolly22 on October 15, 2014, 04:16:31 PM
I believe I'm a decent stick and could possibly make some good videos. I tried to refer to the stickied thread above, but that does not work.

Does anyone have a tutorial on making videos? Thanks!

Without Free Camera or TrackIR support the AH film viewer is Cryptic to use, I usually just film Fraps/OBC.

Make camera shots, use fraps or bandicam to record your camera shots in 2D, then convert them to a usable format and upload to youtube.

Camera shots are easy.

Plane relative - Coodinates are relative to your plane
World Relative/ WOrld pointing - coordinates are relative to the map

On the right hand side is your camera shots menu.  There are different types of shots but the tools are all the same.

You need to tell the film viewer what time to start the shot, the x,y & z coordinates and what direction to point from those coordinates (it automatically points for "world pointing" shots).

Then Plug in your shot duration (time), spacial coordinates again, and angle.

Then play the shot and make changes as needed.

Also field of view and zoom can be utilized.
