Post by: Randy1 on October 20, 2014, 07:03:40 AM
Can you exit a plane after ditching?  If so, how?

Just bail out.

This will count as a bail though beware.

I should have more precise with my original question.  I have tried bailing on the ground but it didn't work for me.

After a ditch is it possible to exit a plane, then walk around?

Another question.  If you can exit and walk around  after ditching in enemy land can you end sortie next to a friendly GV for a "Successful Landing" to avoid a capture?

Yes you can walk around after exiting plane in enemy territory. Hit enter twice just as you would for bailing in air. It will only register as you have been captured. No successful landing unless landing on own countries concrete and you didn't exit plane.

You also have 14, 45 caliber bullets to do with as you wish. Almost all 14 are needed for 1 manned gun. You can duel with an enemy pilot that has bailed or I have even turreted a wirble once.  :ahand

Check your bail out command. Some times after bailing out accidentally it gets changed to "shift enter x2" or similar.

You can avoid capture by walking home but it will be a bail out not a successful landing.

Thanks for the answers guys.  I had wanted to walk to the map room of the red's after ditching just to see if I could.

I had heard on vox once that you could be rescued by a GV if you joined the GV if walking around.

You can only join another player after ending sortie.

The rescue feature was used in a scenario a couple of years ago.

That explains it.  Thanks Bizman.

There have also been C-47 pilot rescues in scenarios but you had to wait for them to arrive, then exit to the tower to join them.
