Title: forum posting rule #14.
Post by: SysError on October 20, 2014, 04:49:36 PM
I think that this rule sometimes gets applied too broadly.  The Ebola topic was interesting.  I was enjoying following it because no where else can I read the opinions of other players on what seems to most to be an important public safety topic.

IMO posts did not get into a nastiness that these things sometimes fall into.

Sorry to see it locked.

well to be fair, once somebody makes a statement that the government is not doing this or is doing that the wrong way, believe it nor that is a political statement.  and there were so many comments about that that it was way too time consuming for 1 guy to clean it up.

besides what else was left to discussed.  I think everything was pretty much covered and at the end it was just a repeat.

HTC has a zero tolerance policy on politics.

A few years back one of our politicians apparently used the term British when should have said English.  The article about it confused me so I axed about it on the forum.  Because I mentioned the politician's name it was immediately locked for rule #14.

It's best to just stay the heck away from politics on the forum.
