Nadir on the AH Facebook page posted this, apologies for posting this here but the community has to see this. I think we have finally found a movie that may beat 'Pearl Harbor' for ridiculousness.

That looks like some college kid's project. or some college drop out's project, rather. :bhead
-
oooooooh! Drag-ons! :x

"They have the iron cross tatoo'd on the wing!"
I haven't laughed that hard in ages! :rofl

I'd rather watch BattleTruck twice. No offense to those down under.
Is P-51 Dragon Tamer one of those "made for MST3K movies"?
-
:bhead  :bhead

It would be better if they had Nazis riding the dragons, instead of the dragons themselves being the bad guys.
I bet they seed a thunderstorm over the ocean to form a sharknado to take out the mother-dragon.

I downloaded and watched this...for about 10 minutes.
It's Sooooooooo bad.
Awful acting, ridiculous premise, bad (REALLY BAD) CGI.
Don't waste the ten minutes I did.
-
Yeah, laugh it up guys, this really happened and was devastating to those who died fighting them. Of course it went trippple top secret immediately and only now, has some of the story leaked out.
:salute those brave airman who fought fire with fire.
I for one am just glad that the Norwaaaay film industry has made something to compare and most likely trump Fury.

I just hate it when filmmakers don't take the time to research the weapons. Anyone who's spent time reading up on the war knows that P-51s never faced the Dragon Mark III, which is what the film shows. Really, I think there were only fewer than a dozen Mark IIs that ever saw action; most of the burden was born by the original Dragon Mark I.
Let's just hope HTC doesn't make the same mistake when they do the 1946 arena.

As usual, it looks like the filmmakers got everything mishmashed together. As you say, they are clearly Dragon Mk III's, but the pilots are exploiting the advantage of no self sealing tanks (hence the explosion when fired upon) that was only an issue with the Dragon Mk I and corrected from the Mk II onward.
The technical advisor should be shot. I'm sure HTC will do better.

Why you gotta bring me into it? :noid
-
So unrealistic. There were no P-51Ds in combat in 1943!
*also the dragon thing*

Looks like a good movie to me. All they need is Godzilla and Mothra. (The Japanese need to be represented to keep it politically correct) :O
-
Cuz ya know, dragons fly at 400mph while only flapping theirs wings about once per second.
:rofl

This gem of a comment made me actually laugh out loud:
Don't forget the Luftwaffe Ace: Smaug
