Penobscott, always thought that was one of the funniest names I ever heard.
Hawkeye's PTSD before the term existed.
Charles' eccentricity, just like an uncle of mine.
Great show :aok

Just turned 22 yesterday and I have probably seen every episode five times or more. Never seen the movies though, still least that I remember.

Kinda funny that you post this. There was a trivia question today about the show and Loretta Switt just celebrated her 77th birthday.
The trivia question was "Name the 3 charaters who were in all 11 years of the show (1972-1983)."
I got 2 out of the 3.
-
5:00 Charlie is my fav epi
-
Col. Flagg. :D
Love Col. Flagg! :aok
Did you see him in the movie From the Hip? It's a bit role, but he's hilarious in it.
-
My favorite episode is the one where Charles goes bird hunting and uses Klinger as his bird dog. Charles shots a bird, it falls and hits a mine.

Hawkeye
Klinger
Father Mulcahy?
-
Hotlips must have been there for all the episodes surely?
Best.Show.Ever.
-
My favourite show was the one in which Hawkeye was mistakenly reported as having died. In trying to get word to his father he sent a telegram which went something like this:
Dad stop
I'm not dead stop
If you are thinking of selling my golf clubs STOP
lol
:)

Was a funny show but had some good drama also. Saddest part is when they found out Henry died in a plane crash. :cry

Klinger was my Hero.

There are still many H-13's flying.

The three characters from the TV show that survived from the first show to the last were:
Hawkeye
Hotlips
Radar
(Though I would say Father M but I'm not sure when his character was introduced on the TV show.
I believe only one actor reprised his role from the movie and that was Gary Burghoff as Radar.

Great show :aok
Penobscot is a Maine Native American word and the name of the County I live in....fwiw Hawkeye was from the fictional town of Crabapple Cove Maine.
-
Radar left in 1979-1980 season. Klinger didn't start till the second season.
The only 3 cast members to be in all 11 seasons were;
Hawkey
Hotlips
Father Mulcahy
That is all. :)

There was something wrong with one of his hands. Even so, he was a pretty good drummer.
-
That's what he always had a clipboard or something in his hands...

I remember Klinger always talked about being from Toledo. I used to watch it during high school years every night from 10 to 1030 before lights out pretty religiously.
My favorite episode is where Hawkeye was on the bus and kept having PTSD flashbacks about the women silencing her chicken to keep them from being heard by the NKs (it was actually her child). Pretty good acting, showing something as stated, PTSD, that wasn't called that back then (shell shock or whatever).
I still watch it on occasion online. Good stuff.

From 2013. I assume it is correct.

Missing fingers.

Not so much missing as deformed.

looks like the problem you see when going from big screen to little screen (24 frames per second vs. 30 fps) (Movies to standard TV).
Was this a screen grab from a TV version (formatted for) of the original movie? In other words is a scene from the original move?
-
:huh
-
Radar was suposedly from Otumwa, Iowa
-
That guy behind Radar in the pic above, to the right, wasn't he later one of the gangsters in Johnny Brasco? Gets shot by Al Pacino?

He's the lieutenant who mistakenly thought he had a sense of humor in 'Good Morning, VietNam.'
-
IMHO, the funniest episode is when Hot Lips gets a heat rash on her butt. :devil
-
Wow, never even noticed Burggoff's fingers.
-

MASH and Columbo are the best tv shows from your side of the pond. Timeless classics.
