The MRAPs and flag look GREAT! I think the others have a bit too much blurring around the perimeter for my taste.

It's something o play around with. Still trying to find out when and where it looks good. But thanks!

That effect is being used a lot in video these days. The filter has a focused area the shape of an eye in the horizontal. The focused section has an high contrast filter applied. This causes a perception of everything in the video to be toy like.
For short bursts of video it is interesting. I am not a fan of the still shots though using it.

Nice Pics Zach :aok

Too much artificial blurring for my taste.

Several years ago someone on this board (the name escapes me now, Chairboy maybe?) posted a photo of a marina full of boats. He applied that filter (foreground and background blurred). It looked exactly like a scale model of a marina. He was really good at using that filter.

I've seen some awesome pics with it but I find it difficult to apply it where it looks awesome.
And thanks for the input guys

It's not so much a filter as a technique….simulates using a tilt/shift lens.
This is one I shot from the top of the hospital where I work:

And if you use Photoshop here is a link to the tutorial. (http://www.tiltshiftphotography.net/tilt-shift-photography-photoshop-tutorial/)
