Sounds like the card reader is whacked..
Have you tried other card readers and/or your camera to delete/format the cards?

Hit it with the biggest hammer you've got.
That'll get the pictures out.

LOL ozrocker Hahahahahaha .
No APDrone I have not . I am using them on a trail camera and then put it right into the PC . My camera went on the blink a while back and have no other way to try them .

Take them to Walgreens or CVS. They should be able to pull the pictures off.

Well, aside from getting a new card reader, the only other thing I could suggest is possibly putting a piece of tape on the SD card to hold the lock button toward the front of the card. Your card reader might have something tripping the sensor into thinking it's locked when it isn't.
If the camera can still write to it, then the card is probably ok. But you said the camera went on the blink.. so, it's not like you really need to delete the pics, if you don't have anything that will be writing to them..
<edit>.. wait, you're reading the trail camera straight into your PC to get the pics?

Never thought of that . Thanks Noman .
OK APDrone , I well give the tape a try .
EDIT: They are full and well not take any more pic's .
