Title: What would your Xmas request from HTC be?
Post by: Gman on December 04, 2014, 11:50:10 AM
I realize that in my case a lump of coal would be about the best case scenario, but if you could ask for any one thing, what would it be?

IMO HTC's old "For Bribes" requests makes sending gifts TO HTC (decent Scotch) a no brainer - although I could be arm twisted into sending 2 or 3 original IBM clicky keyboards in.

My wish - would be to enable the CLAW space/mothership fighter in the DA, even if it was just on Saturday or Sundays or something.  It's the one thing I've ALWAYS wanted to fly, after watching them buzz about during the last Con.  I bet a huge Claw battle would be incredible, fun, and hilarious.

Return of the central strats (without retreat feature though) and disconnecting the HQ from the City.

Incorporation of a more robust communications service.

Communications lag in the arenas and in SEA is very frustrating.  I hope that a solution can be created or licensed and incorporated into AH3.  Using third party communications is complicated and expensive for most of us.

But even if I don't get a pony for Christmas...Top of the Holidays to all here and especially to the hard-working coaders at HTC!

Honestly, I love the planeset as it is. They're working on graphics. What I REALLY want is an updated damage model, particularly flaps. I hate that when you lose a flap, it's stuck in the down position :(

Would like the ability to actively turn on\off, dim and bright gunsights, along with hub cannon locked into the motor with no azimuth adjustment.

+1. This would make your average pilot worse at shooting hub cannons and make the better shots even better.

Other then ones I've already mentioned.both here and more recently in the Wishlist forum.

More attention made to engine settings. Over work your engine and it blows.

This can be done the same way the auto or manual trim works now. Manual trim and you can fly the plane to its complete envelope for better performance. Auto trim you loose a bit performance wise but you dont have to worry about the envelope as much either

Set on manual adjustments and you can have increased performance with the tradeoff being you can blow your engine
Auto engine and you dont have to worry about blowing your engine but you loose a bit of performance

Oh!!!!

Tie the tracers on\off to the convergence range cfg file for each aircraft instead of the single check box under "Flight".

Yes I hate getting HO'd all the time now by sissies with their tracers turned off. But, it's just clunky as heck nesting the control that far down in the options versus tied to each aircraft.

Some good ones.  Beaufighter for sure, one of my favs, as well as the Meteor, the first model my dad ever bought me (he bought 2, the F100 Hun as well).

FliFast, thanks for that video, I'd been looking around for a Claw vid and couldn't find one.  I remember that day of the Con well, I had just started flying again, and with a new squad too, back when KN was active in the MA.  What a riot it was watching that Claw perform, and then seeing them fart those airborne mines the first time had me laughing out loud for 30 seconds straight.  Such an great creation, I hope someday the masses get a chance to screw around with it.

I’ve been heisting to post my one wish, too easy to just roll your eyes…

I would like see HTC develop/revamp their Corporate Communications Plan.  These things usually describe how a corporation will interact/communicate with vendors/sub-contractors, company staff, board members and, what I am interested in, customers/clients.
