Some guys ar gifted with a lot of talent and u know that they are going to be something big. Others simply have to but a lot of work in it. Melker Karlsson is one of the latter. I have known him for like 8 years and have seen him fight his way from the U-20 team to get a spot in the Swedish Hockey Leauge and there he become part of the back bone players in the back-to-back champions Skellefteċ.
He was nowhere nere to be drafted and has always be seen as a bottom six guy that bring hard work to the team. But he made enough impression to catch the interest of the big boys and last spring he signed as a free agent with the San Jose Sharks. Started the season in th AHL but tonight he got the chance in the big leauge. 11 min on the ice, 1 assist and +2 for a solid game.
:salute to u Melkin, u made it. (#68)

Have to bring this up again, 13 games later and he has make an impression far beyond what anyone expected, 5 goals, 4 assist and he seems to have made himself a more or less permanent spot in the NHL. I really didnt see that one coming but im really happy for him.
