it doesnt really matter. Its just gonna be for AH and printing documents. $600-$1500 max.

it does matter at 600 bucks you can get a computer that will barely play ah. at 1500 it will play with most eye candy on. so which one do you want?

Here are 3 good examles from www.pcpartpicker.com try looking at these and see what you like . You can edit them to your liking and go from there.

They all run AH at decent framrates but the higher you go the better they are and the more eye candy you can have... here is my build as i have it right now.

Good selections, LawnDart! Even the $600 version is a serious gamer! One thing was missing, though: Windows.
For AH, I'd opt SLI out since there's no good profile for that. For what I've heard one really good card works better than two mediocre ones combined.

Do they build it for me?

Do they build it for me?
If they wont try NCIX. com they will assemble and test the system if you purchase an OS at the time! Yes they have win7,win8 versions, you can even get win7pro that has virtually no limit to the ram!...Ok something like 150 gigs but were can you get that amount of ram!
Usually they charge 75 dollars, however if you look you can find half off deals on assembly and test.
I've bought my last few comps through them and I've never had a problem that I couldnt call and get the answer or fix for. And you even get to speak to someone who lives in NA.

hgtonyvi if you're going to let someone build you a computer I'd suggest supporting your local corner store. The components may cost a couple bucks more, but they'd build your rig as they would build one for themselves. Plus you'd get lifelong support for their build. Of course a readily evaluated (by us...) parts list will help not being robbed as well as securing you'll get the best quality. But anyway, your corner builder shop is the place you should go with your list. Even better if they'd let you look over their shoulder for the same price.

I think Digital Storm has one real close to the $1600 mark. Were I to buy a gaming computer I'd never buy anything but. The only problem, if you can call it a problem, is they test everything so its not a computer you can get sent to you in 2 days.
Support is the best in the Biz.

If the PC is truly only going to be for just AH so far as gaming, I wouldn't get an SLI setup like the higher end example here. I've had several SLI machines in the last 2 years, and have a 970 SLI now, as well as an almost identical system with a 980. SLI won't help you, in fact it may even cause less performance, or problems with SLI. Skuzzy recently explained how the lack of..motivation..for nVidia to create good SLI profiles for gaming companies- even really big ones - is a big problem right now. He also mentioned SLI and the new version of AH may not get along. So, make sure that you just go with a single GPU if - and I stress only IF - you're only going to be gaming at HTC.
Otherwise, excellent examples above for you to copy. Also, regarding NCIX/etc, the last couple PCs I've built I haven't actually "built" myself, I've just paid the 70 dollars to have the place I use (NCIX's competitor) do it, as the 70 is worth it for me time wise, plus they test it for 2 days, install all the updated drivers, and replace any failing parts immediately. It's a good option if you don't have the time or inclination to assemble all the parts.

Btw what does SLI means?
it means you have 2 video cards linked together. it may give you an improvement on some games but it's always better to have 1 better card than 2 lower quality ones.

Btw what does SLI means?
It means you're using two video cards instead of one and is specific to NVidia. AMD's version is called Crossfire. Mostly it's not worth it and can actually cause problems. You're almost always better off buying one better video card than two lesser ones in SLI or Crossfire.

rgr that.
