I noticed that the last couple of times I saw first-time players online, they were typing on the Help channel, and had trouble finding the country channel. I did a clean install on a spare computer, and found that the default setting for the text buffer is for the help channel to be the first text channel, activated by the slash key "/". The default for the country channel is the third text channel, activated by Control-Slash "Ctrl/". I can see that the intent was probably to make it easier for new players to get help. But in practice, it would be better for first-time players to be able to go straight to Country channel. Especially since most veteran players have Country as the first text channel, and we forget that it was ever on a different key. And we often get folks who are just trying the game out of curiosity, and don't have a headset yet.
So my wish is for the first text channel, "/", to be set to Country by default.
