tonight i got on about 1155pm eastern time. BETWEEN 1155PM AND 1215AM my comments were as follows:
maybe you should stop whining about it,and start doing something about it
and as a reply to a question put to me i answered
anything aperson could do that is world changing,prbably isnt legal
the moderator muted me for 10 mins for political talk.LOL

AT THE END OF THE 10 MINS OF MUTE I ASKED ON 200 WHO WAS THE MODERATOR. I WAS THEN MUTED FOR 120MINS.....JUST FOR ASKING WHO THE MODERATOR WAS. THIS IS CLEARLY ABUSE BY THE MODERATOR AND I WANT SOMETHING DONE ABOUT IT BY HITECH.

Asking who a moderator is could be considered confronting a moderator which will get you a long mute.
Just a tip but if you continue to use all caps in all your posts you're probably going to get moderated off the forums too but have it your way.
Also posting the same post in multiple forums will probably also get you a vacation.

Batched is the best mod ever! I earned a 10 min mute for using a bad word and i deserved it. Batched then chestbeated on 200 that he muted me. I questioned why it was ok for him to talk politics on 200 but not for me to use that bad word. The result? Chat suspended indeffinately. Hey batched you are the definition of that bad word.

I'm not a huge fan of moderation, but there are ways to argue the point and ways not to. It's the oldest story on the BBS, no surprise to anyone, but Tracers, the accusations made regarding the overcharge is way over the line IMO.
In 15 years now I've never seen or heard of a single customer being ripped off by HTC, not one, in fact, it's the one facet of their company that is completely unassailable - they are beyond fair, and have in so many cases given players the benefit of the doubt when they need not have from what I've read over the years here. To say what you did in the manner you did it, especially with no proof is frankly ridiculous. How could they overcharge you 215$ in the first place - set up a 2nd account and forget about it? I can't even understand how one could accuse them of such a thing, any banking irregularities by some mistake or other should and would be noticed by the customer and brought to HTC's attention long, long before it got to that many months worth of subscription.
I've never thought anything any member said should result in a PNG and a ban from the game, until today - calling a company out in such a manner is tantamount to calling them thieves without warrant or proof in a public and community setting, something I don't think anybody here buys or believes - even if by some remote chance it DID happen, it certainly wouldn't be intentional. Ridiculous, I wouldn't even accept an apology if I was HTC, and again, I'm probably the most anti-moderation/punishment member here.

I got a warning also last evening to watch my language ,I believe was for typing on ch,200 the map-country status is bugged/glitch , and is true , bishops status was showing 0% all the time on Mindanao map, that's why the knight reset it.

Politics, "Of, for, or relating to citizens". Unless all discourse on the chat buffers is strictly regulated to direct gameplay conversation it is inevitable that most 200 conversation will devolve to a point where it will fall under the broad definition of "Politics". I have only had one issue on 200 once in which I drunkenly and foolishly fell for the antics of one if the resident twits. After I received a notice from a mod which was justified I promptly de-tuned from 200 and problem solved.

The second mute was well deserved as ANY challenge of a MOD is an automatic mute. Suck it up and take your medicine.

He does enjoy winding people up and yes even he gets muted for going to far. As for your accusations of HTC over charging, PROVE IT or stuff it. In the 13 years I have been paying HTC I have never had an issue with them and the one time I did have a problem with my credit card I called HTC and talked with Hitech himself and he checked to see that my account was ok. If you did have an issue with your account..... which I doubt, all you have to do is call them to get anything resolved. HTC's costumer service is second to none.

There is no excuse for what happen to Alpini from these mods and it shouldn't be taken lightly from this community.
Numbers are going down as is last thing we need is our own mods chasing off potential customers or the older players of the game who are getting fed up with the abuse from the mods.
Now pay close attention you knit pickers, I am speaking and defending my squad mate. I am not trying to justify anything for anyone other than Alpini because the situation that the mod felt warranted a mute was uncalled for and punishment should be taken on said moderator.
For all those who are going to quote me after I make this post, I am not here to debate with you or argue about why the admins do what or this is why they did it to him,It's Simple Alpini was personally attacked by this Moderator.
I have seen so many threads as of late of this abuse the mods have been putting on our community and I must say when will it stop, If you are going to moderate chat at least you could ban the guy screaming C*** on range and in game chat a few nights ago, Oh that's right you guys don't have mods in the game at certain times of the day, good excuse for a game that constantly needs someone there to put the binky back in your mouth.

Well I wouldn't mind having moderators getting punished, although skuzzy and hitech have said repeatedly they already have a fine line to walk (the moderators).
However, on the other side of the coin, I think those who make topics like this one and flame at anyone in general should have a week forum ban (at least) for disturbing the peace.

i would like to address the guy who said he has never heard of anyone being overcharged...as somehow it was mentioned in MY post for another topic. i have been personnaly over charged ONE time by hitech. i simply called and they took care of it. it was a double charge. the point is,it happened,and if i did not catch it on my statement, they would have kept the extra money.

I got a warning from a mod last night. I don't think I deserved it either. I'd fuss about it but I was so drunked up I don't really remember what I said, or what they said in the warning. I vaguely remember it, but I do know I crashed trying to click on that little box to make it go away. Apparently I cannot work a stick and mouse at the same time when under the influence of tequila. :(

Those who know me know I love to drop political bombs every now and then. Heck, Skuzzy has banned me from these boards many times for speaking truth. That being said I've been muted twice in the MA. The first time I requested it just to know what it was like. Voila, muted!
The second time I was having some fun blasted the crap out of some collectivist thoughts on 200 and I received a polite note about noting speaking politics on 200. Having felt the Skuzzy ban hammer too many times I complied and that was that.
I can't say you are being treated unfairly though my own experience I have been afforded plenty of latitude.

Sorry fugitive i couldn't respond earlier on account i was playing the game and not being a forum wh ore. Unlike yourself. But all that aside yes i have bank statements as proof. Old accounts i had are still being charged despite return emails saying yes they are canceled from HTC.
Im sorry I'm a bit more tech savvy than you can can use more than one piece of technology at a time and so keep up on the boards better.... my bad.
I still call BS on the over charge because as I said a simple call is all it takes to get an answer from HTC. Perhaps you should get off your back side for a minute and make that phone call to get it straitened out instead of crying about it.

He broke the rules and got caught! Defend him all you want he screwed up! MODs are there to keep the peace. I think the MODs are too lenient and let way too much get pass.

Not pertaining to this individual incident specifically but there should be more visibility and accountability in moderating.
When I was an AWAR (though I was a trainer), just the presence of the name on the roster was enough to keep some people in check. It also made you more accountable for your policing actions.
As rowdy as I've been in the arena sometimes, the only mute I've ever received is auto-mute for letting my words slip. :)

I never said I've never heard of anyone being overcharged, I have over a dozen examples saved in my archive of interesting bbs goings ons, what I said was I've never heard of anyone being ripped off - as stated anyone with accounts anywhere should be responsible for checking their monthly statement and be able to tell if something as amiss, which has always been rectified in every case I've seen written by HTC with a single phone call. 215$ is many, many months worth of "overcharge", a simply ridiculous amount, unless somebody made a typo entering the monthly charge amount on HTCs side, I can't even imagine how it could happen for such a long period of time. But that's besides the point, as nobody has ever written anything yet that I've read here saying that they haven't received satisfaction in having such a mistake happen. Saying that "HTC overcharged me 215$, and I'm going after them for it" - has Tracers even discussed this matter with them? If so, clarification and proof should go along with such and inflammatory and potentially libelous statement.
This is my point, it's such a ridiculously high figure/period of time that something is missing. If you were to cancel your account and still keep getting charged for a year, by some mistake, is about the only thing that would make sense, but I'm 100% certain that if you weren't active in the game for that period of time, still being charged by some error, that the $ would be refunded. How exactly did it come to 215$? What has been said to HTC prior to posting this complaint on the bbs today to try and fix it?
So far as the mods/moderation, I've beat that drum for a long time, and don't think it should even exist, but it does, and it's unlikely to be going away.

First, a 10 minute mute is nothing. Suck it up. Get over it. No one is perfect. The mod may have only seen a portion of the discussion (they are usually playing at the same time).
Second, any challenge to the Moderator will result in another mute. They are not going to tell you who they are, so asking is pushing your luck.
So, deal with it. Next time, don't challenge the Mod. If you feel you were unfairly muted, send Skuzzy an email stating your case.
10 minutes is next to nothing... It's a "hey, I'm watching you" mute.

I wonder how INteresting this thread could be if a couple of the people took a few steps back and looked at the situation as a whole instead of looking at it through their narrow, biased kaleidoscope lens. It would be fantastic if they demonstrated an intellect above a 5th grade level and maturity beyond a spoiled, raging hormonal 13 year old girl.

It is entirely possible to play the game and never have to deal with a moderator. There are a lot of good trash talkers out there who have played forever and have a built in line they don't cross so that a Mod never has to babysit them.
I hate to break it to you but you have total control over what you type or say in game.
So keep crying and don't play. Shut up and play, or control your "mouth" and play. That HTC even needs Moderators is a sad comment on some of the folks who play.
Throwing a tantrum on the BBS is even more pathetic. You'd have to be blind, deaf and dumb to not see what HTC says to any of these threads.

As always any issues like the original post are best handled via email. I can not think of any instance where a player posted a moderator complaint on the BBS that the mute was not justified after reviewing the logs.
Also one of the first rules for moderators is not to let people know you are a moderator.
Tracer, any billing issue you may have can be solved very quickly with a simple phone call.
