Tonight's moon from my backyard. Not quite full but almost...

She looks pretty full tonight. If I had a half decent camera I would go take a picture with the fresh layer of snow on the ground as an aesthetic touch.
If you go outside right now you can see a super bright star just below the moon on the left, that's Jupiter. I have a telescope, and while I don't have any camera that is built to fit onto it, I can try one of my digital cameras and see if I can get a good quality photo.

Boy that shuttle looks banged up.
I don't know what kind of bird this is but my trees out back are full of them. They are small similar to the size of a finch. I even got pooped on by one of them while trying to get a picture of them. Anyone know what it is?Nice shot, yep titmouse;
(http://www.silveyphotos.com/img/s12/v173/p12491535-5.jpg)
It's easy to feed chickadees and titmice from your hand. When they are mobbing the feeder, go and put the feeder away. Put a chair where the feeder was and sit there with seed in your hands. Be very still. They will be landing on you within 15 minutes.
Great fun for the kids. I have a Polaroid of them eating off my hat brim. It looks like they are going to collide with your face but they flare at the last minute and land on the brim. That would make for a great POV pic.
I've had them sitting on my rifle barrel while hunting too.
Black Sunflower seeds.
If you haven't had a feeder out, you might want to leave it out for a week and keep it full before you try.
Chickadees are the most bold and agile. They were revered by northeastern native Americans for that reason.
Ink, did you make those shanks in prison? :confused:
Nice kukri! Does it split wood well?
I have an old set of leaf springs next to my barn I'll do this with. The helper leaves are straight, and would work well for this.
How long did it take to build it?

I'm going out at around 10 tonight to get some more shots, moon is waxing gibbous, a little more than 3/4 full.I'm going to drop the ISO to 800 to get some higher resolution pics.
I'm not good enough to get good shots with a 200mm yet, Silver, especially handheld. One day though, one day. Any constructive suggestions on my shots? I'd appreciate any tips you could give.
Nah, I've got a Meade like the one below. It has a computer that can track it's position and let you know what you are looking at, but beyond that it's not really special. I want a nice computer controlled reflector baaaaaaad though.That's a nice scope. At one point my buddy had a 13" dobsonian with tracking motor but sold it. He is a SERIOUS astronomer, has been president of the Atlanta Astronomy Club a couple of times. I will ask him if it's ok to give you his name, and I'm sure he'd be glad to give you some tips. He's also a fantastic mead brewer.

I tried the 200mm, just can't get a good shot. This one is the big lens again, but went with ISO 400 and 1/500th second. Then did minor adjustments in Bridge CS4 Camera Raw.
A quick one of my car after I washed it. It needs to be clayed and waxed soon.

Nice car.
Not trying to highjack the thread, but I sat in a Gt350 last week at the Ford racing school. The car is even better IRL and to me fixes what I don't like about the front of yours. Exhaust cut out sounds fantastic, brakes like an anchor :evil:. Sadly the mechanic didn't seem to like the 5.2 much, stating every component needs to be balanced so if you plan on upgrading anything it'd tear itself down without rebalancing everything-ish. He said buy yourself a base GT, boost the engine and install front body/suspensions/exhaust/brakes for less than the extra $30K.
sry .. carry on ... great car :aok

Thinking of buying a camera and taking up photography. Definitely looks like an interesting hobby. Considering the Nikon D5500 with an 18-55mm + a 55-300mm. With wildlife/outdoor scenery being my biggest interest.

She is beautiful but that pose/head angle is not flattering for her face. It makes her face look square shaped as there is no depth in her cheek bone from that angle. I love the rest of the sets of her. Great job!

You need to put the url between the image tags. {img} {/img} Just change the {} to [] had to do that sh it would show. I just click on the icon just under the bold B icon when posting. Hover your mouse and it will say insert image. Click on it and the tags will be inserted into your post then between the tags paste in your link to the photo.
Looks like this, but with the brackets changed to {} so you can see the code. By changing the {} back to [] the image would show up instead.
{img}http://rs121.pbsrc.com/albums/o218/Buck_Shot_74/IMG_20150907_175248234_HDR_zpsalhqrgbo.jpg?w=480&h=480&fit=clip%22{/img}
