As in the object:
how to roll backwards on a cv's deck ?

Throttle up ever so slightly.
-
if you can't get it going backwards on throttle alone play with your RPM's and swing the rudder about.
-
I was taught to have your Flaps all the way out. The pressure from the prop would blow against the flaps pushing it backwards. But like the poster before me said. EVER SO SLIGHTLY on the engine props.

Which would be balanced by the prop pulling the airplane forward.
Real world dropping flaps would help due to the wind over the deck, you're making more drag, flaps are used by float planes to hold a steady position while waiting to takeoff, etc.

Make sure that hook is up. :aok

Full flaps and very slight throttle.

Flaps aren't needed just a very gentle and slight rise in throttle. Essentially the cv is driving out from under your aircraft.

Try it. Flaps help.
