Title: Keyboard re-mapped itself

When the bombers first appeared and started to lift off, my screen "fluttered". I could not start my engines. That was when I said that my keyboard was failing.
Engine start, auto speed, system info had remapped themselves to "none".
I got that changed and sent PM to re-enter. Both times I hit SEAII I got a "host connection lost" message.
Came back the third time and arena is locked. Waited about 15 minutes and gave up.

I'll try again next Saturday, but if the same thing happens . . . well then I'm out. And I will not try for frame 3 & 4.
See you next Saturday.

This was the message that I sent to Delirium, GL 1st Fg, BOWL.

I'm using WinXP Pro sp3 on a Dell 400XPS, 4 gig RAM, with a GT 630 2Gb video card.
I had just checked everything offline, prior to launch, and all of my setup was working; prior to that "flutter".
Do you have any idea why this happened ?

Is this because of my dinosaur computer ?

Is your keyboard wireless?

The only time I have seen anything like this happen occurs when running Norton or McAfee, or some other anti-xxxx software.

It could also happen if the keyboard is connected to the USB bus and the USB bus was resetting itself due to too much power being drawn from it.

You didn't by chance enter a different mode on your stick, did you?

I got rid of Norton Ghost & McAfee about 5 years ago by reloading my OS. I was informed that was the only way to be sure I got rid of everything related to both.
Now I use ESET 8.

My keyboard is a Belkin USB plugged directly into my computer.

I use a 7 port Belkin USB hub for my Saitek Combat Pro pedals, CH Fighterstick & Throttle, TrackIR5, and a Roccat Kave 5.1 headset; with 2 slots still open.

My engine start is mapped to the keyboard only.

I had just been offline checking everything before I went to the BOWL.
It was when the 2nd BG @ A113 started to launch that I experienced a "flutter''; like a triple partial blink. That is the best way to describe it.

The lights were green on my stick & throttle, mode 1.

I'll be back Sat for frame 2, to try again.

Thanks for the replies  :salute
