Title: Jadgpanther and m36 both knocked out after battle very cool pic

note the hole in the jadg, I wonder what might have done that

Just about anything. The Jagdpanther had side armor only 45 mm thick.

Btw. unless you have a caption or other info that says otherwise, to me that M36 doesn't look knocked out. It looks like it's just parked there. Perhaps the crew of that M36 took the photo as a trophy of the Jagdpanther they killed?

scroll left on the pic to see the whole m36 and you will think otherwise. and pic caption did say it was knocked out

I think there is a penetration hole on the front right side of the hull of the m36 right above front track sprocket, which would probably account for the bowing of the lower hull.

I think you're right. The long gash on the side that I though was just picture damage could be the exit hole.

Jagdpanther Ausf.G2 "123" of 'Kampfgruppe Paffrath' 1./ sPzJgAbt. 654 near a M36 Tank Destroyer of 1st U.S. Army. Both were knocked out during the battle of Ruhr pocket, near the village of Ginsterhahn, 40 Km south of Cologne, Germany. 13 March 1945.
