Oaktree has found S.A.P.P. secret spot where they take their damage P-38. Sigh, sigh.

Sorry, Latrobe and I were practicing flying some P-38s. :uhoh

Looks like Corky's back yard :devil
-
That picture breaks my heart. :cry

Those are far too intact to have been used by SAPP. That must be where they get their planes from before they fly them. :devil
-
Looks like the end of a runway where one lone con spawned at an overly vulched base

Cant be Dans collection ...... most of them have too many parts left on them .... he usually sheds what he doesn't need over enemy territory .
-
Corky sure goes through a lot of planes in the course of a single night.

Worst pic ever. What a waste, I hate that picture. So stupid. :bhead

I completely agree. All those beautiful aircraft, loved by the men who flew them, the men who maintained them, and the men and women who built them. The history, sacrifice and the bravery imbued within the metal and then just tossed aside like a hamburger wrapper. It really makes me want to cry.

There should be a few of mine in there, too.

That's obviously an airfield that the jokers just captured and they all landed gear up.
Gots to put all the ruined planes somewhere.
-
Really thought they were all of mine back in the Day I tried to learn how to fly the Twin Bomber :devil

The sad fact is, that's the valet parking.

"Geronimo" was the last thing we overheard on Bish channel before they attacked the undefended Rook field.

I know right .... this is what happens when i park mine myself..... easier to get out than climbing down that damned ladder.

Just looking at surplus P-38 prices in 1945 ... for a low hour fully fueled, ready to fly away P-38.... the sale price was $1250 dollars . About $16,350 dollars today . A P-51 in the same condition went for between 3000- and 3500 dollars so roughly $39,000 - $46,000 dollars today . I couldve bought a P-38 for what I paid for my first car .... payment was like $350 a month :cry
