I cancelled my AH subscription this morning. I've been at this on-line WWII flight sim stuff since 1992. Recently I realized it was time to outdoors while I still can. So the wife and I are spending a lot of time with our grandchildren looking for arrowheads and collecting rocks along the North Sulphur River. Plus I've gotten back into my old firearms hobby and there's a couple of guns I'm saving up to purchase instead of upgrading my PC. I've enjoyed the sim its been a lot of laughs over the years. I just want the guys in the following squads and associations to know I really appreciated flying and hanging out with them and over the years. You guys made this hobby very enjoyable and I appreciate it.

Real life comes first. This game makes time go by faster than anything else and that is scary. Go have fun with the wife/kids/grandkids. :salute
-
Good luck Shifty, had some good times with the 353rd.

A big :salute to the man that taught me how to play the game, and turned a two weeker into what I am today, for what it's worth. :salute to one of the founding members of the current incarnation of VF-17, and one of my first real friends in AH. Gonna miss seeing you around Shifty.

Best of luck Shifty, I have enjoyed our encounters over the years.
What part of the country is the North Sulphur river and what time periods are the artifact's from? If American Indian history is an interest read 'Brutal Journey" by Paul Schneider, it is a remarkable account of early Spanish exploration during the first contact period with the American tribes.

Not a bad plan Shifty! If it weren't for you and Jester inviting me in to VF-27 I honestly would not have stuck with this game and made the longtime friends I have from "golden days" of the CT. (except that filthy back shooting Oldman) Thanks for the help back in the day, you guys helped a lot of new players enjoy what's best about this game. You'll be missed without a doubt. Enjoy real life! :salute

you taught me a lot sir. Some day we have to catch up. <S> Best of luck my friend

All the best Shifty, enjoy your family.
Hate to see the community lose another good guy.

Take care Shifty. I enjoyed meeting you in Addison and conversing about our experiences in Europe while in the US Air Force during the late 80's. Practically nobody in my circle of family, friends, and co-workers has any clue about those years so those experiences get bottled up until I run into someone with similar experiences. I often think and pray for your sons. They've given so much for our country and are in the truest sense American hero's.

Take care of yourself Shifty. Remember this though, you haven't been outside since 1992, we'll see you back here when you get sunburnt so bad you can't walk :)

Sorry to see you go Shifty. You do know firearms are a much more expensive hobby then aces high right? Good luck on your future endeavors :aok
