Title: In Flight Problem

Ok here is the problem, I fly mostly the B-17's, after take off I go into the autopilot speed (auto-climb ALT X). After 10-20 minutes it will turn off and at times I get don't move your controls to rapidly, even when I am not touching my controls. However now it is only a few seconds after I hit Alt X it goes off right away.
I have an Saitek X 52 which is going on nine years. Plus I have a very slow internet connection, I have a wifi with 1 mbps. What is happening with my stick, is it too old now or is it the internet connection causing the problem. I do calibrate my stick before going in to the hanger and to the runway.
Even if I hit Autopilot Angle (Shift X) and Autopilot Level (X) it will turn off in a few seconds.
If any one has an ideal how I can fix this problem.

Wifi is not a good connection for Aces High. You should use a cable to connect to your router or modem.

Check your controller setup advanced tab for your stick. See if there is jitter or spiking when the stick is still and when you move it.
You can adjust deadband if the stick doesn't return to center and damping to help with spiking.

FLS I live in the Philippines and right now I do not have much choice of ISP. I moved to a bigger house and where I am living now I can not get DSL landline because the ISP do not have a place to install it, I really belive they are to lazy to try. Any way I will check my controller setup.

One other thing that may help is a powered USB hub to plug your x52 into  

I was having loss of calibration issues and spiking, the powered hub cleared it right up  

They are not expensive at all

Make sure the connection cord between the sticks is staying connected. Do what FLS says. If it is spiking the problem may be able to be fixed by cleaning the pods. 9 years old I am sure the pods are getting dirty.

Gents Thank You for your advice. I have a new joy stick on the way, due to having problems with most companies not shipping to the Philippines, I found one that did. Due to money problems, I order a Saitek X 52 Pro. As for the usb hub, I got one and it seems to be working well. I still have one problem, when I am in auto-speed (auto-climb) the controls go off and I get the message of Do Not Move your controls so rapidly. The thing is I am not even touching the controls. Any way Thank You all for your help and advice.

Sounds like your stick is spiking and that's kicking the auto pilot off. The X52 Pro has a Hall sensor and they don't spike so that should fix that problem.

For a temporary fix while waiting for your new stick you can copy mode 1 to mode 3 in controller setup. In mode 3 unassign the roll, pitch, and rudder axis on your current stick. Set a button in mode 1 to switch to mode 3. Set the same button in mode 3 to switch back to mode 1. When you use auto speed switch to mode 3 and it should stay on.

Sticks throttle, rudders direct into the pc case usb's at the back of the machine which usually leaves one for the powered hub to go into for mouse, kb, headset, trackIR etc .. must be powered though.  I had awful problems until I did this .. never had any stick issues since .. :)

Generally it's the flight controllers that need a powered Hub. If the motherboard has insufficient power and you have a lot of peripherals it may be best to add 2 powered USB hubs.
