Title: dye marker shells.
Post by: Muzzy on January 28, 2015, 07:25:09 AM
The Japanese used to put dye in their shells so they could tell their splashes apart. Might be useful when different guns are firing. Maybe an option to turn color coded splashes off and on like with tracers?

This would be cool if we get a Japanese fleet.

You get dyed shells, but no prox fuse AAA.

I don't see this as being a problem, especially if it was only viewable by the player him/herself. That way no affect to others, just a visually distinguishable color from all others. A check box option sort of thing?

Am I interpreting this right, or would you like to see other Gv'ers colored shots too?

No, I was just thinking for the player. Hadn't really thought about using it for gv's actually, but that would be helpful too. I was thinking about the ships because there's an historical precedent for it.

I like the idea, (we could pretend we have Japanese ships). It would help tell whos rounds are falling where.

The Japanese weren't the only ones, US used them as well.
