Guess I'll just ask here.
Is it just my system or graphic settings(That I use) that cause me to feel
am always flying through downtown Los Angeles? Seems always to be
a haze in atmosphere. Does this help with frame rate on low end machines?
Is it supposed to always look this way. Never seem to see crystal blue sky.
You know like contrails against the sky over England in autumn 1940.
Just wondering why it always looks this way to me at least.
I have nvidia GTX 770 card. Any one have any updated settings
recommended for this type card? Other postings in forum seem
to be a few years old.
Thanks.

I'm thinking that what you're seeing is the arena fog setting. It's there mostly so you don't see the ground abruptly cut off at the game's max render distance. I think...

If you're in bishland or flying near around bishland it's just all the hot-gas...

Post a picture of what your talking about.
There is a "fog" layer that helps fool the eye to give depth to your view. Your card isn't the best around either so you may have some of the settings turned down.
Another option is you could try SweetFX. It's an add-on program that you can use to tweak the look of the game. Many have a lot of success with it. I use it to sharpen the view a bit. I always thought the washed out look made it hade for me to see what the aircraft were doing. You can read up on it here....

I know what he is talking about. I have the same thing too. But I can adjust my screen darker and it goes away. The trade off is you can see much better with it lighter and with the haze. If I darken my screen I lose things. Like the cons plane when he is on the deck. He just blends in with the scenery.
Go to OPTIONS, Graphic Details and adjust the GAMMA SLIDER. Just play around with it. You will see immediately the difference.

There is haze in the arenas. It's an arena setting which you can change offline or in a custom arena. You can usually fly above it for a clearer sky.
I would not change the gamma settings. Haze is not caused by the gamma settings.

OK, FLS.
Now I've changed my Gamma settings probably 3 or 4 times. What should the Gama be set at?

Try 1.0.

Nidia 770 is one of their Gforce series, you should have software loaded on your machine call the Nidia Experience. If not go to www.nidia.com and download and install the Nidia Experience. It will automatically update your 770 with the most current drivers and keep it updated automatically.

Apparently it should be www.nvidia.com (http://www.nvidia.com). Unless you really want people to start studying genealogy, that is.
