Title: 2 Gv IAP La-7
Post by: Greebo on February 17, 2015, 02:27:58 PM
Thanks to Lyric1 for finding me the info for this skin.

This colourfully painted La-7 was part of the 2nd Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment.

She's a stunner. I expect that we'll see this one often in the MA.

Thanks guys.
It took me half the time I was expecting as there was more of my La-5FN template that could be transferred over than I thought at first. OTOH compared to the La-5FN there were more annoying little bugs on the La-7 shape that I had to work round.

Found the pilot for this aircraft.

Thanks for that Lyric1, guess I'll have to change the unit details when I submit it. At least "May 1945" counts as WW2, if only just.

So realistic I can't take my eyes off it.   The detail of the metal engine cowl bands, for example.    Another masterpiece!

No kill markings...
No Gold star emblem...

A rather modest pilot!
