Title: So you think you're bored?
Post by: MrKrabs on February 18, 2015, 03:47:29 PM: I doubt you are nearly as bored as a Hermit Crab purposely filling shells with gravel...

Seriously, last night I dumped it out... Then this afternoon I watched him for a good hour pushing gravel into shells... I think he is telling me he does not want them in the tank anymore. He usually eats the shells instead when he doesn't want them.

turtles
Preying Mantis's(Forgot to give her a Cricket while they were boning)
Crickets
Caterpillars(Yes cute little caterpillars will eat each other)

That and the whole "everything in this tank is mine" thing... Hell he freaks out when there is someone else is in the room much less his tank...

But seriously, watch your pets once in a while and contimplate the reasoning of why they do some strange things and you'll be amazed... That crab has been with me for 18 years and every so often he reminds me of how much we underestimate animals of all kinds... Especially when is comes to intellegence
