Which controllers are you using?
Are you using manufacturer's software?
Do you use a powered USB hub?
-
I think you can copy/paste your control file and views and such as well, so next time you get it all set up, alt/tab/windows key out of Aces High, go to your folder, and copy it, and paste it somewhere else. This way if you lose it again, at least you're just a copy and paste away from setting it all up again.
-
Another thing to look at is your USB power settings. Make sure that "suspend when inactive" is not checked.

A powered USB hub is just that...gives you extra USB ports that have power to them..
the one I have gives me 4 extra USB ports...all the peripherals for AH are plugged into it..
they are cheap..think mine cost around 20$

I suspect your main problem is the power settings putting the USB port to sleep. You can check that in windows control panel under power settings/advanced. You should also consider getting a powered USB hub to plug all your game controllers into. Some PCs don't supply sufficient power for multiple controllers.

ok I have windows 7 and the system doing a search cannot find power settings/advanced what i do have is 3 power setting choices BALANCED
HIGH PERFORMANCE and energy saving I am currently using high performance
will look into a powered usb hub however this is custom built and a few years old I built it during windows vista time
it has an
intel core 2 duo CPU E8400 @3.00Ghz 64 bit memory system
Graphics is NVIDIA GeForce 9800GTX+ with 2303 mb total available graphics memory
and 4 GB of ram

Go back to power options in control panel. Next to high performance select change plane settings.
Then select change advanced power settings. Under USB settings you'll find USB selective suspend setting.
Make sure that's disabled. If you find it's currently enabled it's likely the cause of the problem and you may be able to skip the powered hub. If you still have problems after disabling USB selective suspend then try the hub.

ok wow what a dig to find that lol thanks for the USB support guys
now lets see if I can hold these settings

Install the CH software. You don't have to program with the CH software but try installing it and have it running before you start Aces High.
