trying to make a video out of a video I recorded, it has a few spots that I want to trim out and add some tunes to the video. I have used windows movie maker in the past but it crashes all the time on this computer not sure why. I have tried several and have had a tough time with trimming out what I dont want. I know some of you fellas make videos and stuff so thought Id come here :D

Borrow someone's Mac and use iMovie. I suspect your computer's problem is memory related.

Video editing takes a lot of CPU power, beware.

ya if your computer is on the weak side it takes so long to render that you might think the thing locked up.

I like using Windows Movie Maker 2.0 "Don't get is mixed up with the general windows movie makers"
It's the predecessor of the various crap brought to you by Windows except this one doesn't do half-bad...
As a bonus there are a ton of mods out there for you to use free and at a price...

No, linux only. But theres a 'Live DVD' version of it, which you can use without having to install anything.

Sony Vegas Movie Studio comes with a free trial when you download it. 30 days. Its more than enough for a project or two.
