How can I get rid of those youtube popups for every video that's embedded on a thread page every time open the page, log in post or edit something? It's really getting annoying, especially when there are several vid embedded. I tried a few Firefox addons but none did really work.
And no, I'm not going to install flash. I don't need it (Youtube itself works just fine on HTML 5) and I don't want to.

Try checking the option in your profile, under "Look and Layout" to show youtube videos as a link. That should do it.

For the last half a year I've had Disconnect https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/disconnect/#reviews (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/disconnect/#reviews) on my PaleMoon and I haven't noticed any ads. Lately I installed Adblock Plus https://adblockplus.org/ (https://adblockplus.org/) in the settings of which I always uncheck "Allow non-intrusive advertising". For testing I just viewed half some videos in the O'Club, supposing they might be the ones showing most ads. None.

This was not about ads. I have those blocked out. It was about youtube Flash popups, as I don't have flash installed.
"Show youtube as link" did cure that.

Now that's interesting.
While it fixes the initial problem, there's still a minor one left.
those links now shown get me the same popup when clicked, because they are not the standard link to the youtube vid.
An example from this thread: http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,370402.0.html
The link now shown : https://www.youtube.com/v/pUdzVnZBaoY
I can't click on that, it will get me another flash popup.
The 'correct' link would have been https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUdzVnZBaoY
But still, not having the popups just because I open a thread is a big improvement. :)

That checkbox is just converting the embedded link to a URL, which is still an embedded link, so it will still invoke Flash when you click on it.
