As an A-10 weenie, I was tickled pink to actually have seen A-10s flying.
(At least I'm 99% sure they were A-10s, couldn't see much but I could make out the general aircraft shape)
In the past 3 days, I've accounted 2 sightings of A-10s flying over rural Indiana.
I believe they belonged the 122nd Fighter Wing, based in Fort Wayne.
I was toying around a bit, and noticed this at Fort Wayne international airport... https://www.google.com/maps/place/Fort+Wayne,+IN/@40.982259,-85.1822771,60m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x8815e4ddff22814b:0x80077b147642f793
I thought I'd just post this up here. Has anybody else seen any military birds around their areas?

I live next to a joint Air Force/Army installation so have the sound of freedom overhead every day.
F-22
F-15
C-17
AWAC
KC-135
Blackhawk
Chinook
F-16
Was flying a load of skydivers one day and the controller advised me of opposite direction traffic at my 11 o'clock….a flight of 16 F-15s. That was awesome!

I happened to have been in Indiana for a very close pass with a couple of A-10s...

People could not stop talking about it afterwards, I think I made a post on these forums at the time.

Unless you hear an S-3 Viking, which has the same engines.
When I was younger, A-10s would fly into the Hagerstown MD Airport and routinely run the Potomac River near my house. One day my father and I were driving with the windows down and we heard one approach and my dads (20 Year Navy Attack A-6s and S-3s) ears perked up and he began scanning the skies for what he was certain was an S-3 Viking approaching... wrong. Here comes a pair of A-10s real low heading East.
He was close. :old:

We were lucky enough to have the 111th FW stationed not to far from us at Willow Grove NAS
We would get them flying over us constantly. We absolutely loved it .One time I watched 2 guys flying low over the local lake, don't know if they were doing practice runs or just having fun, but God it was a sight to behold.
If I had a choice to have a ride in 4th or 5th gen fighters, or an A-10 give me the A10 every day of the week.....(now if there was an F4 Phantom available, that would be a near impossible decision. :D )
