Title: CH Combatstick Issues
Post by: YUCCA on March 10, 2015, 11:28:06 AM
So I just got my computer and rig set up and was able to fly AH last night.  Everything went well but then 2 buttons quit working along with right side of my hat switch.  Maybe a bad stick?  Weird thing is that my other buttons actually changed their mapping.  For example I had another button saved for flaps and all of a sudden it started controlling views at the same time I noticed the 2 buttons and hat switch quit working.  Normally I would just think I got a bad stick.  However, the fact that I have buttons that still work but have changed mapping on their own make me think that there is another problem?  Im running windows 7 pro and it's  a USB combatstick.  Suggestions or ideas?

Since you didn't mention it, you apparently aren't using a powered USB hub? Get one, they don't cost a lot ($20-ish). Having every device connected to USB nowadays can easily cause lack of power.

A separate USB hub will also prevent your USB ports prematurely wearing out.

Try running the CH software even if you program in AH.

Make sure your USB selective suspend is off in your power options.

Every once in a while mine acts screwy and loses buttons like that. I use the CH software and usually re-applying the profile will fix it up.
