One year, a family of peregrine falcons built a nest on the roof, directly above my desk. They'd fly towards me at full speed and then ''brake" about two feet from the window as they came in to land, accompanied by the hungry shrieking of the nestlings. Lucky for me, they had a shower and change facilities at the office.

the views in skydiving and base look just like this, although landing not so graceful
