The Daily Mail isn't known for Pulitzer level of journalism writing.  I don't think you'll ever find an article from them that doesn't have errors or typos nor do I think the journalists (if Daily Mail has any) do any sort of research for the article they write.

It looks like target practice damage, not battle damage.

I always had Had issues understanding The german WW2 Plane history Videos. In Aces high and some Historical Videos its called the "BF" 109(bf109's) and in other videos they call it ME109's...which is correct?

Technically, BF 109 is correct, as the name of the company at the time the plane was designed was "Bayerische Flugzeugwerke" and only later became "Messerschmitt".

From wiki:

Quote
The Messerschmitt Bf 109, sometimes incorrectly called the Me 109 (most often by Allied pilots and aircrew), was a German World War II fighter aircraft designed by Willy Messerschmitt and Robert Lusser during the early to mid-1930s.[2] The "Bf 109" Designation was issued by the German ministry of aviation and represents the developing company Bayrische Flugzeugwerke (at which the engineer Messerschmidt led the development of the plane)...

Both is right. After Messerschmitt AG was founded both designations were officially used.
