Hello everybody, my IGN is LG772 and I could use a lot of training in just about everything, vehicles (how to aim wirbs, ostwinds) planes (bombers, fighters, dive bombing, maneuvers, taking out carriers etc.) ships (mainly how to aim the 8 inch guns and using them to effectively to destroy towns/airfields) any tips/advice would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks~

Eastern Time zone in the US and always available any time except for Thursdays, I may also be unavailable from about 5:30pm EST-6:30pm EST every day because that is usually when I eat dinner.

You should seek out an AH trainer if at all possible. That said, I'm on sporadically throughout the day and evening. PM me if you are interested. If you want to expand your experience, our squadron flies special events on Friday nights. You'd be welcome to fly as a guest.

You and Pine should go to the TA together.
You can also ask us in vox, we're really friendly!
Just don't listen to Coalcat, that is the golden rule. :D

Actually that is probably a bad idea if they are fighting against each other. You want to be fighting with someone who knows what to do, not against someone who has no clue.
If I see you on you can hop in my plane and I'll show you some pointers about air combat, like I told Pine earlier today. I'm sure it would really help you a lot to see how I fly. I really only do fighter pilot mode so the tanking I'm prolly not the best one to ask about that.

Thanks man I appreciate that. I'll definitely join in if I see you on next time I'm on.

In my experience It's more effective for them to fight each other under the proper guidance and instruction, rather than have some elite stick club them until their confidence is gone. Not that you don't learn from that, but its really not the best way IMO.

I'll have to disagree with you there. Getting beat up over and over again is how you get better. I learned the hard way from Batfink and Bighorn when I first started in the DA. I learned sooo many maneuvers and tricks from them though. I would have never known my full potential if I didn't learn from getting crushed over and over again. I had just came from H2H (after it got shut down) thinking I was going to pwn in the MA and DA... I was soo wrong.. the level was so much higher. Fighting someone in your same category may give you some smiles, but it doesn't help you develop your game against better pilots in tougher situations. Even with someone guiding you from the sky, I don't see how it would benefit either person simply because they don't rightly know what's going on. You need the trainer to show you positions and reasons for those positions and for the new guy to test his skills to the full ability he is able to achieve, while still losing... losing makes them figure out what they are doing wrong or what they need to work on.

Yeah. When I first started, Crabby used to duel with me in order to train me. I got my butt kicked hard. I lost all my confidence, but I learned quite a bit about maneuvers and tricks and such.
But training two new guys under guidance is good too. When you and Raynos dragged the squad along with you two to that gunnery practice thing, I fought with some of our squaddies... After that I fought a lot better.
In the end I guess both types of training is good? I don't know that's just me.

That's a good idea. It's useful to practice with someone learning the same things you're learning.
Of course you need to know what to practice and that's what trainers can help you with.

Yeah well I guess everyone learns differently. There really is no wrong in both of them. I'm not trying to start a debate. So it just depends on your willingness to learn I guess.

Oh yeah I definitely see where you're coming from! I hate debates so I'd rather not make/participate in one.

the only way to get better is to go against someone better...
training is great....reading and learning all you can is great...it all adds to your knowledge...
but flying against someone better and who is willing to show you what you are doing wrong and what to work on.... is the fastest way to improve
you dont need to go to DA...as a matter of fact ask to go to TA with that person...you can get so much more time not worrying about dieing over and over....
TA is much better for learning fast....
but no matter what....you need the drive to get better.

As someone already said, go to the trainers page at http://trainers.hitechcreations.com/. Read through the whole thing. Don't try to memorize it all, just read through it and get the parts you need now. In about two weeks, go back and read it all again. Some things will make more sense.
Start with one skill set and work on it until you have a good understanding. Then add something else. For instance, start on basic flight and combat maneuvering. Just stick with flying and furballing for a couple of weeks. Then figure out how to hit something with a bomb. Or play around with a jeep. Or something else. Take it one step at a time, and have fun with it.

Thanks everyone for helping :) I appreciate everyones input.

This is a video game in the end, so the most important thing is to have fun. If you like getting clubbed over the head over and over again. :aok
But it is a thing where someone can be so advanced and proficient that they can properly give a newbie the basic to work with.
