I started out using Windows Movie Maker, which used to be free and came with Windows. Now I'm using Adobe Premiere.

Windows Movie Maker 2.0 is and there are some free mods too out there you can find... Remember to specifically look up Windows Movie Maker 2.0 otherwise folks confuse it with the current stuff.

Should also know there are some mods created by people that cost a few dollars even some that can reach $50 mark...

Just remember video editors are resource hogs

The cost of premiere is usually too high for a casual user, that's why I made the joke. Which someone didn't seem to get.

If you use Linux then there are several good and free ones. I used OpenShot to make my AH bid - very easy to use and intuitive, yet has plenty of useful features.
