Title: Option for the Jagdpanzer
Post by: BigKev03 on March 29, 2015, 02:15:58 PM
Just an idea but not a must have.  I know most people in the game like the bigger guns of our AFV's but I would like to see the Jadgpanzer IV with the 7.5 cm Pak 39 L/48 gun.  I know it is a smaller gun but it allows the vehicle to carry more rounds and to me having more rounds is sometimes bettter than a bigger gun.  I know you can say the Hetzer has that gun so why need it?  Well its just a historical option that the Jagdpanzer IV had.  If used right this vehicle would be a good perk gaining vehicle.  Please feel free to blow this post to pieces.  LOL

However it would also make the fat howitzers on M4s a valid choice too

+1.  If I remember correctly most of the crews preferred this version from what I read.

This would be bad, how? :)

Wouldn't they need to remodel it to have the other gun as an option?  Either way, I'm game. :aok  +1

It is not. Despite what Krabs said the 105Howitzer version is not very useful and IMO would be another hangar queen. Against armor they are not effective. In real life they were used as close fire support and smoke layers. The HEAT round of the time was ineffective against any of the German vehicles in the game, and the close fire support mode requires either white phosphorous (which we do not have in the game) or air burst/canister type high explosive options (also not available).

. . . allows the vehicle to carry more rounds . . .

Where did you read that?
