Title: Random Insomnia thought Sith vs. Jedi
Post by: Nathan60 on April 05, 2015, 03:00:14 AM
So, insomnia has got a hold on me again and tonight's thought was: Who's a bigger jerk a Sith or a Jedi. Jedi tried to exterminate Sith first and ran them to the very edge of the galaxy where they had to hide for thousands of years. Then when the sith came back they were all like "hey come join us, the darkside has tea and cake' and gave people an option. The jedi were all like 'He's too dangerous to live' and stuff. SO I'm thinking they are kinda even but Sith being nicer cuz they atleast give you an option to join them. The whole Alderaan thing was the Imperial Navy's doing with their Deathstar so we cant lay that on the Sith. What do ya'll think?

Vader/skywalker gave the kids in the jedi academy a chance to join him before he slaughtered all of them? Not convinced.

Yeah... that's not the way I understand it. The Jedi protect those who can't protect themselves, while the Sith believe only the strongest should survive.
The Sith never give options.

He did it to save the lives of 2 unborn children...
See, the only reason people think Jedi are the good guys are because they won the first time around, then they turned around and tried to kill all the Sith What kinda good guy does that? Sith weren't all evil until that point, they are just a product of their environment.

At the behest of the hidden Sith lord to respond to a threat posed by members of the Sith Lord's secret group of traitors and turncoats. Note that the Sith and the traitors were in it for themselves. The fools in the republic were tricked into participating "for the greater good" and others tricked into participating in the plan were in it for various reasons including personal greed.
Even the friendly folks at the clone factory planet seemed nice enough, operating under a false assumption. And Yoda and the Jedi fell into the trap. Silly Yoda for assuming command of clones without knowing the administrative password.

I think that both are jerks, but at least the Sith don't try to hide their motives, unlike the Jedi. The Jedi thought that they killed off all but a few Sith lords in the Old Republic, which led to them getting their butts kicked in the ransacking of Coruscant and forward. Then the Sith got all greedy and overconfident that they start killing off one another(as if Darth Bane's Rule of Two wasn't enough trouble.) Then the Seventh Battle of Rusaan was the game changer up until the Clone Wars, where Anakin goes dark, Sidious orders the green light on the Jedi, and the Republic dies and becomes the Empire.
Then Galen Marek(aka Starkiller, the apprentice, whatever) becomes Vaders new henchmen, only to be backstabbed and left for dead, then told to start a rebellion against the Empire, which, depending on whether you face Vader or Sidious, gives the outcome of that choice.
Finally, Luke(and Leia). They destroy the one thing they thought was unbeatable in the Empire's arsenal with the help of an astromech who pretty much been through heck and high water. Then Obi and Yoda help Luke become a Jedi, and Leia falls for Han. Luke goes to face Vader one last time on D.S.2 until Sidious toasts Luke to where Vader 's pride was hit home, and decides to throw Sidious down a shaft, therefore redeeming himself as Anakin again just before dying in front of his son's face. D.S.2 blows up, and the rebellion again scores a major victory.
Luke realizes that he needs to start up a New Jedi Order from scratch. So he goes and builds a Praxeum on Yavin 4, and recruits people to where they're ready to take on the Empire. Luke falls for Mara Jade, and marries her. He then must've thought that it's cool for Jedi to have spouses, so he passed the word around(which was actually pretty cool for Luke imo, makes his somewhat different from the rest imo.)
As for the Yuuzhan Vong War and the Legacy era after, I'll let you figure it out, here's the link:

My point is that both the Jedi and Sith are flawed, but the Jedi are too ignorant to see it, and the Sith are too overconfident to realize it. I'm done now *whew*, gonna go get some water now.

Sorry, didn't happen. None of this. We'll find out what happens next in a year or two (unless Harrison Ford has any more accidents).
