Getting the new jacked up computer tomorrow, and will be installing the game to it. What is the best way to achieve my old settings, joystick, head positions, sound, etc. thanks, 1EAGLE1.

Simply copy your current Settings and Sounds folders on a stick and further on the new rig after installing AH. If you have custom Sights, copy them too. And Films, if you're one of those who film their sorties. And Maps, if you're using something like Pand's strategic maps. Scrshot if there's some screenshots you'd like to have on your new rig.
But for those you mentioned, the first two are enough.

there's a few files you shouldnt copy. think it's about 5 or 6. there's a thread in the help section somewhere that tells you which ones you shouldnt copy.
sound folder everything is ok.
from settings, there's some that only apply to the computer you have.

Correct, semp. In the settings folder at least the sysinfo and video8 files are connected to the current rig. Couldn't find the exact information, but the contents of these two revealed them. They all can be opened in Notepad, if you want to know what's hidden inside them. Of course plane specific files can be copied without doubt, but for those you don't know, it doesn't hurt to take a deeper look.

Here is a quick list ..
*.JSM
*.KMP
The "planes" folder may also be copied over.
Skins ... Terrains..sights...sounds.. and your controller settings..
Hope that helps

I reuse hard drives in 905 of times when I build or rebuild a computer. I use the existing Aces High folder as it is, never had problems with it.
