How much did the VKS stick set you back?

The cobra video looks like the stick scaling would be off or stick has some problem. No control movement with the last 10 degrees of stick movement.

Yes, That Cobra M5 bought from Amazon.de, but another Cobra M5 that from VKB is not those problems, almost good performance.

I was going to pull the trigger on an x55 but now im curious about the cobra M5 .  I was reading the specs and it shows that the hat switch is a 4 way hat , is that all? Is there no 8 way switch on the stick?  It looks like a precise stick according to your tests but im so used to an 8 way hat that it would be tough to go without one .  Current setup is X52 throttle with TM1600 stick ...thx.

Cobra M5 has 8 way HAT on the stick (top right) and 4 way switch on the stick(top left), and 2stage trigger.

2 stage trigger

Tensions of X-axis and Y-axis is the need to be independent for me so I have evaluate CH Fighterstick and Cobra M5.

Thrustmaster T1600m. Much better than my X55 . Pushing forward on the X55 would use all the range of motion (y axis would be at 0)  while still having around 15% of physical travel left before the stick hit the stop.

I always love it when someone posts these videos and complains about how the stick doesn't go all the way into the corners. Heck in a real plane or even with a flight sim why would you want to drive the stick into a 90 degree corner for control??? You wouldn't.

It comes down to what you...yes YOU as the consumer want. Me I personally love my Warthog and until it dies I will not be looking at anything else.

Warthog is nice. Too bad it is one rotary short of having all the controls necessary to duplicate the functionalities of the F-16 HOTAS. Of all high fidelity modern aircraft combat flight simulators in the market (DCS A-10 and Falcon BMS) it is somewhat inadequate for 50% of them. :/. Hotas Rhino has the controls but worse precision too if I'm not mistaken.

Thank you Blade for the videos. People should care more about this aspect of the hardware instead of whether it is "fully metal" or the additional switches and screens.

how do you 'scale' the stick so that controller travel matches that seen in game?
