This aircraft was based at Matsuyama on Formosa during 1944-45.

Well, looks like I have a new favorite scheme for this bird. Thanks.

I don't want too much credit for this skin - I found it as an IL-2 bare-metal Ki.61 template for Pacific Fighters on Mission4Today.com, I think. All I did was "hack" it into AH's skin file layout (which is much more difficult than it sounds). There is a lot of cutting, pasting, stretching, distorting, filling-in, etc involved in that process. I suppose it could be called "technical" skinning vs "artistic" skinning - it's a lot like reverse-engineering. And then I blended in the tail art and details for this particular aircraft. But the end result is an outstanding skin for AH's Ki.61. I want AH to have excellent, high-quality skins available.
The credits for this skin are as follows:
Template by JayPack44, metal texture by Jesters-Ink, internals by Greg Boyington, and rivet pattern by Billfish, adaptation to AH format by Oboe. That's a lot of collaboration!
