Title: P51D: Bump Map behavior for underside of left wing opposite of what is expected.
Post by: MachNix on April 13, 2015, 03:52:32 PM
The bump map alters the highlights and shadows on the 3D model.  In the bump map image the color white (255) is used to mark areas that are higher, black (0) is use for areas that are lower, and natural grey (128) is for areas without any changes in height.  The P-51D has the effect reversed for the underside of the left wing.  (See attached image.)

This happens with all the planes bump maps, when you change your perspective the effect should look like it has changed as well.
