Title: best profile settings for rudder pedals?

Finally replaced my broken rudder pedals, and I'm looking to get them set up for maximum smooth operations. I'm wondering if anyone has a recommended scaling/sensitivity/dead-band/dampening set up to get the smoothest operations our of the rudder axis? I've played with it some, but it always seems that the nose of my A/C gyrates wildly left and right in response to rudder inputs. Looking for suggestions. Thanks in advance.

My CH pedals are set up to use the default axis scaling, deadband at the default (very small), and the damping up to about 25%. Seems pretty smooth to me.

I too used the standard scaling before my pedals went bad.

So to re-iterate, you use the linear scaling (rather than the no-scaling option), leave the dead-band were it is, and crank dampening up to 25%, correct? Appreciate the quick feedback. I'll be interested in seeing others' suggestions, as well, but I'll try that and see how it does. Just hate having the nose swing wildly back and forth when I try to use rudders to fine-tune my firing solution.

I use the same scale settings for rudder as I do elevators.

Yes, that's how I have them set.  And you're welcome.   :)

BTW, most of the time, my gunnery seems to be more on-target if I have no yaw inputs on the plane while firing.  But when in very close, it is handy to be able to walk the bullets across the target with the rudder.
