I just got a phone call from a recruiter with Triple Canopy (for those who don't know, its a Private Military Contractor), they asked me if i'd like to do a year contract with them in Kuwait doing Force Protection with US Bases for about $90k tax free. And said that If i do this one more opportunities will be available such as Iraq and Afghanistan which pays even more. What you all think? I would like to go do another deployment, and it would be pretty shamm going as a civilian this time. But still, I'm not sure.

Is ur Game ID Selino30?? OR different person?

This has bad idea all over it. Going into a combat zone as a civilian contractor without the normal back up you would have from troops not a good thing IMO. Not to mention the lack of legal status.

I've thought about that. the Kuwait contract shouldn't be bad because they work/live on US bases. and Kuwait isn't a combat zone.

Those contractor jobs are great until they're not, and then you might get pooped on. That group of contract security guys that shot up that busy intersection when they thought they were getting ambushed just got convicted of multiple murder counts. Nevermind they'd been ambushed before and thought they were getting ambushed again, they got hung out to dry because they were wrong and killed a bunch of noncombatants.
And sometimes the contract security just gets blown up, shot, or captured/tortured/beheaded.
Kuwait ought to be reasonably safe. Iraq and Afg... no freaking way. Recovery rate for detained/captured personnel in Iraq, both military and contract, was 0%. Not one captured person was recovered. Afg isn't much better and ISIS is making some gains in Afg, making that a much bigger poo-fest. And the consequences for captured people when ISIS is involved goes from an unfortunate way to die to an unbelievably horrific way to destroy a life on camera for propaganda purposes.
Kuwait... maybe. No way I'd go to the other places as a contractor.
